Preparing For the SAT

How one-on-one tutoring is most efficient.

From 9th grade on, it may seem that this dreaded 3-letter-acronym looms in the not so distant future; all academic roads lead to it. And, to many students, their future depends on it.

The news of the recent college admissions scandal has put a spotlight on the underlying pressures and considerations, dynamics, and stakes associated with the SAT (and other) admissions tests.

I am sometimes surprised that, even given the full name—Scholastic Aptitude Test—there still is at least the partial misconception that this is more of an achievement test, and that if you do well in your Math classes, you might only need some review of topics.

To achieve your best score, you need to prep, and using a strategy that specifically boosts your weak points, and optimizes areas where you already strong.

Some students take the SAT more than once.
